You upload a file of contacts with UK postcodes. We match each postcode to a coordinate, find the three nearest petrol forecourts by straight-line distance, and return a file containing those forecourts with their brand, operator, address, distance and the most recent pump prices we hold for each fuel grade.
You may also ask us to include public EV charge points. Where you do, the same file carries the three nearest charge points for each power band you select, with the network, distance, maximum power and the most recent price per kWh we hold, together with a marker showing how that price was derived.
Access is granted by email domain. Anyone with an address on an authorised domain can sign in, run jobs and incur charges against their department. You are responsible for telling us promptly when someone leaves, and for the actions of everyone who signs in on your domain. We may suspend a domain at any time for non-payment or misuse.
Jobs are charged in whole blocks of 1,000 usable records, at the rate agreed for your domain, subject to a minimum number of records per job. A usable record is one carrying a well formed UK postcode. Rows with a missing or malformed postcode are returned to you flagged, and are not charged for. The exact usable count and the exact price are shown to you before a job runs, and nothing is charged unless you approve it on that screen.
Two options change the price of a job, and both are off unless you switch them on. Including EV charge points doubles the job. Turning price comparison on multiplies whatever you have selected by 1.4, whether you compare a single grade or every grade and band we carry. The two combine, so a job covering fuel and EV with price comparison on comes to 280% of the base figure. Price comparison is charged once across the whole job rather than separately for fuel and for EV. In every case the final figure, with any uplift already applied, is the one shown to you before you approve.
If a postcode is well formed but turns out not to exist, we remove it from the charge when the job completes, so the final invoice line can come in below the approved figure but never above it. Changing your rate later never alters a job already run. Invoices are issued monthly in arrears per department and are payable within 30 days. All amounts are exclusive of VAT.
The contacts you upload remain yours. You are the controller of that data and we are your processor, as those terms are used in the UK GDPR. In that capacity we will:
You confirm that you have a lawful basis for processing the contacts you upload, that you are entitled to have us process them, and that you will not upload special category data, criminal offence data, payment card details or any data about children.
Uploaded contact data, match results and the output file are deleted 14 days after a job is approved. Download the file before then. We keep the billing record indefinitely: filename, record count, cost, who ran it and when. It contains no contact data. If you need a different retention period, ask.
Fuel prices come from the statutory open data scheme that UK retailers file to. We pass on what they publish and stamp each price with the time it was filed. We do not verify prices at the pump and we cannot promise a price is current at the moment you read it.
EV charge point prices come from the open data that operators are required to publish under the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023. Coverage grows as operators publish, and it is not complete. Where we hold no live tariff for a site we fall back to that operator’s rate for that power band, and failing that to a published national benchmark for the band. Every price we return carries a marker saying which of those it is, and you should read that marker before relying on the number.
Charge point prices are the ad hoc rates payable on arrival without an account. They are not the rates payable under a subscription, a roaming agreement or a fleet contract, which are not published as open data and which we do not hold.
Where you have asked for charge points we always return the nearest ones we hold, even if they fall outside the maximum distance you set. Rows beyond that distance are flagged rather than removed, so an empty result is never mistaken for an absence of competition.
Distances are straight-line from a postcode centroid, not driving distances. A postcode centroid is an average position and can sit some way from any particular address, especially in rural areas. Where two forecourts are close together, the ordering may not match what a driver would experience. The exact distance is in every row so you can judge this for yourself.
The service is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and you should not present its output to consumers as a guaranteed price without your own checks.

The underlying fuel price data is published under the terms of the government’s open data scheme and postcode data under the Open Government Licence. Your use of the output has to respect those licences too.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, neither party is liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any twelve month period is capped at the charges you paid us in that period.
Either of us can end this agreement on 30 days’ written notice. We can suspend or end it immediately if you breach these terms materially and do not fix it within 14 days of being asked. On termination we delete your uploaded data within 14 days, and you pay for jobs already run.
These terms are the whole agreement between us on this subject. If any part is unenforceable the rest survives. Nobody who is not a party to this agreement has rights under it. It is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
