Travel · open data insight

The right trip for every traveller.

Their closest airport, whether they can travel off-peak, whether they need a hotel before an early flight. The data to answer all of that has always been in UK open data. Hyper-Geo's algorithms turn it into answers and append them to every contact, so every holiday you offer feels hand-picked.

The reality

Departure point is the first thing customers check. It is the last thing most campaigns know.

A family in Harrogate is a 26 minute drive from Leeds Bradford and over an hour from any other airport. Offer them Gatwick and the email is over. Most travel lists hold a postcode and nothing that turns it into a departure point.

01

The wrong airport

Offers built around the biggest hub, not the one each customer flies from.

02

Getting there is the cost

Hotel nights, parking and fuel decide whether an early flight is worth it.

03

Trip style is invisible

Families, retirees and long-haul travellers want different holidays, at different times.

What it changes

What travel teams do with it.

01

Lead with their airport

Their closest airport and their backup, by real drive time, so every offer starts from the right place.

02

Fill cruise and ferry sailings

Their nearest ferry and cruise ports, with the time it takes to get there.

03

Remove the friction

Flag who needs a hotel the night before, who can get there by train, and what the trip costs in fuel.

04

Match the trip to the household

Families, retirees, flexible workers and off-peak travellers, so the right holiday reaches the right home.

The insight we append

22 insights, appended to every contact.

Each one is built from UK open data by our own algorithms. Swipe through them and open any to see where it comes from, how our algorithms work it out, step by step, and the model we use. Every answer arrives with its own High, Medium or Low confidence, and you pay only for the insight you tick.

How it works

Your list in. Insight appended.

01

Upload your list

CSV or Excel, up to 100,000 contacts. Names and postcodes are all we need. Anything else you carry through stays yours.

02

Define your question

Pick your sector and tick the questions you want answered. We have already worked out how to answer each one. Choose how closest is measured: straight line, road distance or drive time.

03

Get it appended

Your file back in minutes with the insight added to every contact, each answer next to its confidence, ready for your CRM or campaign tool.

Your own locations

Add your stores. Every traveller gets their nearest.

Upload your stores, hotels or pick-up points with your customer list. Hyper-Geo finds the closest to every traveller, by straight line, road distance or real drive time, and appends the details you choose. So every offer comes from somewhere they know.

Closest, measured properly

The nearest by road is often not the nearest on a map.

For one in five UK postcodes, the closest petrol station by road is a different one from the closest as the crow flies. Rivers, estuaries and motorways see to that. Choose how closest is measured, job by job.

Straight lineIncluded

As the crow flies. Fast and fine for broad targeting. Drive times shown are estimates.

Road distanceUpgrade

The nearest place by the actual distance you would drive, on the full UK road network.

Drive timeUpgrade

The nearest place by how long it takes to get there. The most accurate answer to "closest".
